    • acceleration is how quickly the velocity is changing
    • the unit for acceleration is m/s squared .
    • acceleration= change in velocity divided by time taken
    • v squared= u squared+2as
    • the formulas on this page only work when the acceleration is constant
    • v is the final velocity
    • u is the initial velocity
    • a negative value for acceleration means something is slowing down
    • v-u means you need to work out the change in velocity
