    • discrimination laws: equality act 2010 states:
      • a business must not: pay workers differently for same work, favour certain people, discriminate when promoting, allowing mistreatment, discrimination
      • a business that does discriminate will: have demotivate staff, workers decide to leave, poor reputation, can be fined and pay compensation to workers
      • business that takes action will: increase costs, rewrite recruitment and training policies, monitor what happens in the workplace
    • contract of employment: stating what the employee is signing up for and what exactly their being paid to do. given within 8 weeks of work.
      • effects of  compulsory entitled holidays: increased costs t get people to cover shifts, managing staff holidays
