  • HEATWAVE    The UK's highest ever temperature of 38.5 degrees was recorded in Kent. Over 2000 people died due to the heat, some roads melted and railway tracks buckled.
    • FLOODS Summer floods in Hull, Sheffield and Gloucestershire left people homeless. People also died.

      • FLOODS   In the south-west and north east of England, several severe floods happened. Somerset, Worcestershire and Northumberland were particularly bad.

        • HEAVY           SNOW     20cm of snow fell in London. The south-west and south-east of England were also affected.

          • FLOODS     Cockermouth, in Cumbria, was devastated by floods. Record rainfall amounts fell in November in the Lake     District.

              • FLOODS Severe flooding caused the River Thames to burst its banks. Vast areas of the Somerset levels became inundated. It was England's wettest weather in 250 years.

                • FLOODS Serious storms and heavy rainfall caused devastating floods, especially the north of England. December 2015 was the wettest and warmest month ever recorded in the UK.
