- What you need to do
- Make a detailed observation from the best positions
- Make a detailed analysis, recording quantitative and qualitative data
- Use the data recorded to create concise and detailed feedback
- Observe
- Need to know what the skill looks like when performed perfectly (perfect model)
- Have a good idea of what could go wrong
- Analyse a performance = observe how well the task is completed

- Consider something in detail
- Break down into parts e.g batting, fielding, bowling
- Look for the good points first, then look for areas of improvement
- What you need to know
- What has happened and why
- Where you will observe from
- What you want to observe, skills, game, fitness levels, competition
- How you are going to do it - subjective, objective or both
- Subjective analysis - based on facts, you have results and statistics to prove what you have analysed. Called quantitate analysis
- Objective analysis - your opinion on what you have seen, need to have evidence. Called qualitative analysis.
