    • Life in the North was much better

      • De facto segregation BUT they could sit anywhere on public transport
    • WW2 had a massive impact on Civil Rights
      • Migration= had greater concerns and concentrations of African Americans
      • Service in the Armed Forces= Northern African Americans were stationed in the South which were where the Jim Crow Laws applied and they fought racism and fascism
