      • unto me - persona, dramatic monologue first person
      • mercy -  word choice - shows desperation despite doing nothing wrong/not committing any offence. religious concept
      • for i am - shows persona - makes monologue more personal
      • desolate - shows that the persona is unhappy and numb, telling us explicitly how she feels.
      • and lost - unless we remember what she has gone through and her story, she will be forgotten.
