Trade Unions will negotiate on a wide range of issues.
Basic Wages
- Many workers still work for a basic wage which is calculated on numbers of hours worked times the basic hourly rate.
- Many workers are salaried which means they get a total wage no matter how many extra hours they do.
- Trade unions work to ensure that workers receive a decent level of pay
