Sex Discrimination Act 1975:

  • Act of the Parliment of the United Kingdom which protected men and women from discrimination on the grounds of sex or marriage.
  • The Act concerned employment, Training, education, harassment, the provision of goods and services, and the disposal of premises.
  • The SDA applies across Australia. There are also anti-discrimination laws in all states and territories.
  • The SDA covers direct and indirect discrimination.

  • Sex discrimination claims must be brought within three months of the discrimination taking place.
  • Can't change attitudes e.g. chauvinistics
