Sections A in the first English paper includes:

Include:

Section A will include 'Of Mice And Men'.

Answer one question only.

You will be tested on:

• Responce to themes
• USE QUOTES.
• Understanding of language
• How does he John Steinbeck create an atmosphere?

Section B will include poems by Jillian Clark and Seamus Heaney.

• Understand the language structure
• Form what meaning it has.
• Make links between comparing poems.
• Compare 3 or 4 poems.

Section A of paper 2 will include poetry from other cultures.

• Compare the texts.
• How do the poets use structure?

Section B of paper 2 includes writing to Advise, Explain and Describe.
