Very helpful. Thanks but there is another reason why people obey; graduated commitment. In that if you slowly build up a person to commit an act its more likely for them to obey instead of telling them right at the beginning to commit the desired act. For example the Milgram experiment.

this is a really useful bit of revision. i like the way that it isnt in 'big words' as my teacher would say. i think it sticks in your head a lot more if it is in 'teenage language'. thanks
