GetRevising has been set up to enable students to put into practice the best advice about exam preparation. It enables a personalised approach to revision and encourages students to see that they are not alone but part of a community of thousands of others, all revising for the same exams.

GetRevising offers a personalised approach to revision based on the latest research into teaching and learning. It enables students to:

• Make their own revision resources in the form of flash cards and revision maps
• Look at and rate resources made by other students
• Plan their personal revision timetable based on their motivation and other committments
• Make links with other students revising for the same subjects

Use GetRevising for homework or in lessons

• Create revision timetables online
• Make flash cards of definitions, explanations, key points and so on
• Encourage students to upload resources and watch their ratings
• Upload your own resources and comment on others

Material on the site is actively moderated on a daily basis. However, there is sometimes an inevitable gap between misuse of the site occurring and administrators dealing with it. So far users have told us almost immediately of inappropriate use of the site. Fortunately misuse is very rare.
